There is no place for the common understanding of death in the kabbalistic world view. Rather death is a separation from our source and from our deepest state of being. The kabbalistic world view is composed of worlds within worlds or different and higher states of being within the higher and higher states of being. It is only this world that is not real, a distortion of the really real. One can be alive but according to Kabbalah are really called dead. True life can only be experienced in the higher worlds, in Life after life. This world is a delusion of consciousness. However, when we develop and change our instinct from the desire to receive just for ourselves to the desire to give to the other, we will be able to see our reality for what it truly is. When humanity reaches such a state we will unify all worlds and see that there is no separation, nor death but rather only life.

Dr. Raphael Kellman is a respected author and physician.
